OTES 2.0 - Ohio Teacher Evaluation System Training
This 3-day OTES 2.0 FULL CREDENTIALING TRAINING is for NEW administrators and teacher evaluators who have NOT BEEN previously OTES credentialed. The Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0) Evaluator Training will prepare an evaluator of teachers, as defined by the role you serve in a Local Educational Agency (LEA), for effective, high quality and consistent staff evaluation using the OTES 2.0 Model. To become a credentialed evaluator of teachers in the State of Ohio, an individual must be properly licensed, or LEA approved as a peer evaluator, participate in the three-day state-sponsored evaluator training and pass an on-line credentialing assessment.
OPES 2.0 - Ohio Principal Evaluation System Training
This State-sponsored two-day virtual training will focus on the Ohio Principal Evaluation System (OPES 2.0). The intended audience is Superintendents, Central Office staff, principals, and others who evaluate principals. Upon completion of the two-day training, participants must complete the online OPES 2.0 assessment to be a credentialed evaluator of principals.
OSCES - Ohio School Counselor Evaluation System
The Ohio Counselor Evaluation System (OSCES) Evaluator Training will prepare an evaluator of school counselors, as defined by the role you serve in an LEA, for effective, high quality & consistent counselor evaluation. This state-sponsored OSCES training will provide a better understanding of the OSCES Framework and Model, and allow the practice of skills and sharing of resources and best practices in educator evaluation.
Resident Educator Mentor Training
Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training is a hybrid event. New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them to support the instructional growth and development of Resident Educators. This is a hybrid training requiring participants to access both the ODE Learning Management System and the Virtual meetings held by the ESC.
